Comparisons  · Two-way integration and field sync

Unito copies the field. GroundTruth decides what the field should say.

Unito is a sync product. It mirrors issues and fields between two systems, both ways, with rules. GroundTruth is a verification product. It reads the code, judges the work against the criteria, and writes the result. A mirror cannot correct a wrong value.

Claims about Unito are category facts, checked on the vendor’s own site in October 2026. Products change. If something here is out of date, tell us and we will correct it.

What Unito does better than GroundTruth

We list this first on purpose. A comparison that only lists wins is an advert, and you can tell.

Broad tool coverage

Unito connects many tools, well beyond trackers and repositories. Our connector list is short on purpose.

Mature field mapping

Unito handles field-level mapping, filters and both directions. This is harder than it looks and Unito does it well.

No code to write

A non-engineer can configure a Unito flow. GroundTruth is set up with an engineering team.

The right tool for a merger or a handover

When two teams must work in two trackers, Unito keeps both current. GroundTruth does not do that job.

What GroundTruth does that Unito does not

We read the code, not the other field

Unito reads System A to update System B. GroundTruth reads the repository and the criteria to decide the value.

We refuse a wrong value

If the criteria are not met, GroundTruth holds the ticket. A sync tool copies whatever it is given, wrong or right.

We explain the change

Every write records the finding, the confidence and the mode. A sync log records only that a field changed.

We find what is missing

GroundTruth reports merged work with no ticket. A sync tool cannot see work that no ticket describes.

Side by side

The same ten questions appear on every comparison page, so you can read them against each other. A tilde means partly, and it carries a note.

Capability Unito GroundTruth
Reads source control as the record of the work† ∼ ✓
Reports delivery metrics, trends and benchmarks ✕ ∼
Checks each acceptance criterion against the merged diff ✕ ✓
Holds a ticket when a criterion is not met ✕ ✓
Writes the ticket state in the tracker ✓ ✓
Sends a low-confidence case to a person ✕ ✓
Keeps the previous value, so you can revert each write† ∼ ✓
Signs each change into an audit chain ✕ ✓
Finds merged work that has no ticket ✕ ✓
Puts accuracy numbers in the agreement, with money back ✕ ✓
  • Reads source control as the record of the work: Unito can sync repository items as records. It does not derive status from the code.
  • Keeps the previous value, so you can revert each write: A sync can be reversed by syncing back. GroundTruth keeps the previous value for each write.

Choose Unito if

  • Two teams work in two different trackers and both must stay current.
  • You need field-level mapping across many tools.
  • A non-engineer must own the integration.

Choose GroundTruth if

  • The values you are copying are wrong at the source.
  • You want the status derived from the code, not mirrored.
  • You must prove why a status changed.

In one line

Unito keeps two systems equal. GroundTruth makes one of them correct. If the data is wrong, a faithful copy spreads the error.

What we will not claim

What each integration can do

GroundTruth reads GitHub, GitLab and Bitbucket as the record of the work. It writes full sync to Jira, Linear and Azure DevOps. Asana is read plus coarse write, so it cannot drive a full workflow there.

We do not make you compliant

No tool does. GroundTruth produces evidence that an auditor can read. The judgment stays with your auditor, and Fastpace holds no certification on your behalf.

Analytics is not our category

Jellyfish, LinearB, Swarmia and DX report delivery and experience in far more depth than we do. We report status accuracy, drift and blockers. We do not claim parity.

Self-hosting is a conversation

Self-hosted and air-gapped deployment is an Enterprise capability, arranged with our team. You cannot switch it on from a pricing page.

Questions buyers ask

Can Unito replace GroundTruth?

No. Unito has no view on whether a status is correct. It copies the value it is told to copy.

Can we run both?

Yes. A common pattern is GroundTruth to set the true status in the main tracker, and Unito to mirror it to a second system.

Does GroundTruth sync custom fields?

It writes the fields its findings justify, such as state, and it records each write. It is not a general field sync tool.
