Swarmia shows the team the truth. GroundTruth makes the tracker tell it.
Swarmia is built for the team: insight, working agreements and healthy habits. GroundTruth is built for the record: verify the criteria, hold the ticket, prove the change. Both are useful, for different reasons.
Claims about Swarmia are category facts, checked on the vendor’s own site in October 2026. Products change. If something here is out of date, tell us and we will correct it.
What Swarmia does better than GroundTruth
We list this first on purpose. A comparison that only lists wins is an advert, and you can tell.
Strong team-level insight
Swarmia reports flow, investment balance and developer experience. GroundTruth does not report team health.
Working agreements that teams accept
Swarmia nudges a team toward its own agreements in chat. The approach is respectful and it works.
Survey data next to system data
Swarmia joins what engineers say to what the systems show. We have no survey product.
Clear pricing and quick onboarding
Swarmia is easy to buy and easy to start. Our Enterprise options need a conversation.
What GroundTruth does that Swarmia does not
We enforce, we do not nudge
A criterion that is not met stops the ticket. GroundTruth is a control, not a reminder.
We read criteria against code
GroundTruth checks each acceptance criterion against the merged diff and reports a confidence for each one.
We correct the tracker
GroundTruth writes the state the code proves, and finds a ticket that claims more than the code shows.
We produce evidence
Each change is signed into an audit chain. The reason, the confidence and the mode are recorded with it.
Side by side
The same ten questions appear on every comparison page, so you can read them against each other. A tilde means partly, and it carries a note.

In one line
Swarmia helps a team see itself. GroundTruth makes the system of record match reality. Insight assumes the data is right; enforcement is how it becomes right.
What we will not claim
What each integration can do
GroundTruth reads GitHub, GitLab and Bitbucket as the record of the work. It writes full sync to Jira, Linear and Azure DevOps. Asana is read plus coarse write, so it cannot drive a full workflow there.
We do not make you compliant
No tool does. GroundTruth produces evidence that an auditor can read. The judgment stays with your auditor, and Fastpace holds no certification on your behalf.
Analytics is not our category
Jellyfish, LinearB, Swarmia and DX report delivery and experience in far more depth than we do. We report status accuracy, drift and blockers. We do not claim parity.
Self-hosting is a conversation
Self-hosted and air-gapped deployment is an Enterprise capability, arranged with our team. You cannot switch it on from a pricing page.
Questions buyers ask
Can we use both?
Yes. Swarmia reads the same systems and reports on the team. GroundTruth corrects the tracker those reports rest on.
Is GroundTruth a surveillance tool?
No. It judges the work against the stated criteria, not the person. It reports no individual productivity scores.
Does GroundTruth measure developer experience?
No. If that is your question, Swarmia answers it and we do not.
