LinearB speeds up the pull request. GroundTruth proves the ticket.
LinearB works inside the pull request: size, review time, policy and alerts. GroundTruth works across the boundary between the code and the tracker. The two overlap less than the category names suggest.
Claims about LinearB are category facts, checked on the vendor’s own site in October 2026. Products change. If something here is out of date, tell us and we will correct it.
What LinearB does better than GroundTruth
We list this first on purpose. A comparison that only lists wins is an advert, and you can tell.
Pull request flow metrics in depth
LinearB reports review time, pickup time, merge frequency and work in progress. GroundTruth reports a narrower set.
Policy automation in the review
LinearB routes reviewers, flags large changes and posts alerts in chat. This is strong workflow tooling.
Benchmarks and team goals
LinearB compares your flow to an industry set and tracks goals against it. We hold no benchmark data.
Free tier and fast setup
A team can connect LinearB and see numbers quickly. Our pilot takes a conversation first.
What GroundTruth does that LinearB does not
We judge the content, not the flow
LinearB measures how fast a change moved. GroundTruth asks whether the change satisfies the criterion it was written for.
We act on the ticket
GroundTruth writes the ticket state the code proves. It also finds a ticket in Done with nothing merged behind it.
We route judgment to a person
A low-confidence verdict applies nothing. The finding goes to a person with the criterion and the diff side by side.
Every write is reversible and signed
GroundTruth keeps the previous value and signs the change. A wrong write is one command to undo.
Side by side
The same ten questions appear on every comparison page, so you can read them against each other. A tilde means partly, and it carries a note.

- Reports delivery metrics, trends and benchmarks: LinearB is stronger on flow metrics. We do not claim parity.
- Writes the ticket state in the tracker: LinearB automates workflow and alerts. GroundTruth writes the ticket state from verified evidence.
Choose LinearB if

- You report cycle time and want depth in those numbers.
Choose GroundTruth if
- Your board says Done and the work is not done.
- You need the acceptance criteria checked, not the review time.
- You must prove to an auditor why a ticket moved.

In one line
LinearB improves how the work flows. GroundTruth improves whether the record of that work is true. A fast pipeline that closes the wrong tickets is still wrong.
What we will not claim
What each integration can do
GroundTruth reads GitHub, GitLab and Bitbucket as the record of the work. It writes full sync to Jira, Linear and Azure DevOps. Asana is read plus coarse write, so it cannot drive a full workflow there.
We do not make you compliant
No tool does. GroundTruth produces evidence that an auditor can read. The judgment stays with your auditor, and Fastpace holds no certification on your behalf.
Analytics is not our category
Jellyfish, LinearB, Swarmia and DX report delivery and experience in far more depth than we do. We report status accuracy, drift and blockers. We do not claim parity.
Self-hosting is a conversation
Self-hosted and air-gapped deployment is an Enterprise capability, arranged with our team. You cannot switch it on from a pricing page.
Questions buyers ask
Do LinearB and GroundTruth conflict?
No. LinearB acts in the pull request. GroundTruth acts between the merge and the tracker. Teams run both.
Does GroundTruth measure cycle time?
It reports a narrow set of delivery signals, not a full flow suite. For deep flow metrics, LinearB is the better tool.
Which one helps with agent-written code?
GroundTruth. It verifies the merged diff against the stated criteria and records which agent produced the change.
