Both products say AI governance and both are telling the truth, about different things. Credo AI is built for the risk function governing every AI system in the company. Fastpace is built for the engineering organisation that has to prove what its coding agents did.
Credo AI pricing and capabilities were read from the vendor’s own pages in October 2026. Products change. If something here is out of date, tell us and we will correct it.
We write this section first. A comparison that only lists wins is an advert, and it reads like one.
Registering every AI system in a company is hard and necessary, and we do not attempt it.
Policy packs aligned to the EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, ISO 42001, OMB M-25, Colorado ADMT and NAIC AI.
It speaks the language of the people who own the obligation. Most engineering tools do not.
Models and applications across the business, not only the ones developers use.
A policy that compiles into each agent tool’s own format and blocks at the developer machine, not a policy recorded centrally.
A signed receipt for every AI call, with the model, the endpoint and the training opt-out, is the proof that the policy actually held.
Commit trailers connect the diff to the run. The lifecycle is one line, from the call to the merge.
It runs in your repository. No prompt text leaves the machine, which matters when the regulated thing is the code itself.
The same ten questions appear on every Fastpace comparison, so the pages can be read against each other. A tilde means partly, and it carries a note.
| Capability | Credo AI | Fastpace |
|---|---|---|
| Governs more than one AI coding tool† | ∼ | ✓ |
| Enforces policy where the developer works | ✕ | ✓ |
| Writes a signed receipt for each AI call | ✕ | ✓ |
| Records the model, endpoint and training opt-out per call | ✕ | ✓ |
| Keeps a tamper-evident chain an auditor can verify† | ∼ | ✓ |
| Ties a commit back to the run that produced it | ✕ | ✓ |
| Produces an AI bill of materials† | ∼ | ✓ |
| Maps evidence to compliance frameworks | ✓ | ✓ |
| Finds AI use outside the governed tools | ✕ | ✓ |
| Runs locally, with no prompt text leaving the machine | ✕ | ✓ |
A regulated company often needs both. Credo AI holds the programme and the system inventory; Fastpace produces the engineering evidence underneath it, per call and per commit, and maps that evidence to the frameworks the programme names.
Credo AI answers whether your company governs AI. Fastpace answers whether your developers’ agents actually followed the rules. Neither answer substitutes for the other.
No pricing page. Every route is a demo or a conversation with the sales team.
Free tier: None published. · Checked October 2026.
Fastpace: Community is free. Team is $29 per editor seat per month billed annually, or $36 monthly, with the first five seats free for twelve months. Platform is $99 per editor seat per month billed annually. Enterprise is custom. Viewer seats for CISO and GRC are free on Team.
No tool does. Fastpace produces evidence and maps it to the controls a framework names. The judgment stays with your auditor, and Fastpace holds no certification on your behalf.
The policy compiler reports what each target can and cannot enforce. Some settings are protected by the operating system and some a determined developer can route around. We would rather print that than imply a guarantee.
We publish no customer logos we cannot name and no statistics we cannot source. Ask us for a pilot rather than a reference wall.
The CLI ships under the Elastic 2.0 licence. It runs locally in your repository, and we call that source-available because that is what it is.
It publishes no pricing. The site is sales-led: every route is a demo or a conversation. Checked October 2026.
No tool makes an organisation compliant. Fastpace produces evidence and maps it to the controls a framework names. The judgment stays with your auditor, and we hold no certification on your behalf.
If your obligation covers AI across the business, probably. If it is specifically about what engineering does with coding agents, start with us.
Yes. It exports evidence and pushes to compliance platforms, so the programme above can cite the engineering record underneath.
